ABOUT OUR STUDIO

Established in 2015, Design & Co was founded initially to work with cabinet makers and builders who wanted an approachable designer to work with their clients.  Our goal was to create an open communication path and assist  all parties to simplify the process from start to finish, while delivering a highly considered design outcome.

Design & Co has now grown into a busy Brisbane studio creating designs for both residential and boutique commercial spaces. Each project is specifically dedicated to the client’s own interests, lifestyle and preferences. The team has become known for their functional yet characterised designs across Australia.

Meet the Team

    Grainne Devlin

    Creative Director & Interior Designer

    Starting her career working for Ireland based design firm Unique Interiors, Grainne (pronounced Gron-ya) completed a BA Honours Degree and continued to build her business acumen by working throughout Europe as General Manager for a large UK based airline.

    Grainne returned to her lifelong passion for interiors after relocating to Australia in 2009 to further study (Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration) and work within the building and design industry.

    Founding Design & Co in 2015, she has built a portfolio of both residential and boutique commercial design spaces across Australia and Europe.

    Jocelyn Baxter

    (B IntArch), Senior Interior Designer

    Jocelyn brings a unique blend of multi-faceted design experience gathered from over 18 years in interior design, photography, textiles and fashion to the Design & Co team. This experience enables Jocelyn to not only deliver functional solutions within the spatial offerings, but also add details that draw upon her client's personality to inspire an emotional connection to their home.

    With a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and a Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration, Jocelyn has a wealth of technical and practical expertise in kitchen, bathroom and custom joinery design.

    "I love to deliver design that is both functional and sympathises with the needs of the client. My approach to design is laid back but luxurious, uncomplicated and restrained while including bespoke details that elevate the final design and set it apart."

    Maggie

    Colour Consultant & BOSS

    Maggie our little Maltese cross Terrier rules the studio and can often be seen chilling in the studio window - watching the world go by!

    Her favourite things are snoozing, "welcoming" anyone to the studio and hiding treats in the most unexpected places!
